This August, we’re heading back to Nevados de Chillán (aka Termas de Chillán) — and this might be our best Chile trip yet.
Why This Trip Is a Big Deal
This isn’t your typical ski vacation. Nevados de Chillán is:
- One massive mountain formed by two volcanos — one dormant, one very much alive.
- 25,000 acres of terrain — five times bigger than Vail.

- Off-piste, natural hot springs warmed by the active volcano.

Your host for the week is Jack, our bilingual, dual-citizen guide who spends his Northern Hemisphere winters coaching at Lake Tahoe.
He’ll provide:
- Full-day on-mountain hosting
- Local knowledge + terrain selection
- Ski improvement clinics
- Backcountry-oriented coaching (conditions permitting)
- Photos and video he personally captures for you all week
Jack isn’t a guide you follow — he’s the guy who helps you ski better, pushes you just the right amount, and somehow ends the day with better pictures of you than your last three iPhones combined.

This isn’t just skiing.
- Day 1: Jack picks you up at the airport, then sweeps you straight to a vineyard for wine tasting and charcuterie.
- During the trip: He handles all local logistics so you can simply ski, soak, eat, and repeat.
- Departure day: Before your flight home, he takes you to Chile’s largest open-air market for a final dose of culture (and last-minute snacks you didn’t know you needed).
He’ll drop you at the airport with your bags handled and your camera roll overflowing.
